(April 22, 2012) Earth Day Celebration in the Municipality of Banaybanay, Davao Oriental with the Commissioner of Climate Change Committee and former Senator, Honorable Heherson T. Alvarez, Actress Marissa Delgado and Members of the National Council to Combat Climate Change. Honorable Alvarez delivered his message as the resource person of the Symposium on Climate Change during the celebration held right after the Motorcade and Tree Planting of the locals of the municipality. He emphasized the need of every Filipino to take part in the global advocacy of fighting global warming and climate change by protecting our environment and natural resources being our life support system. As a former member of the Senate of the Philippines, Honorable Alvarez is consistent with his advocacy to protect the Mother Earth for the future generations. For more than 20 years in this advocacy, former Senator Alvarez is still passionate at his age to continue his cause for he believed that we don’t need one to die to save the lives of others.

The Local Finance Committee of Local Government Unit of Banaybanay conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Barangay Budget Preparation for 2012 held at Bonhomie Leisure and Resort last November 29, 2011.
